Sass & The Boss is made up of a Father and Daughter Duet that have been entertaining crowds for
well over a decade as a professional Duo working the Newcastle area and Districts.
Emil Matla who originated from New Zealand and Perth and then arrived in New South Wales in
1996 has not ever stopped entertaining for over 30 years where every weekend almost constantly,
has been involved in some form of entertaining if it may be working as a Bass Player in a 9 Piece
Band or as a Trio or Duo Partner within this time, his experiences and skills are at many as a Singer,
Guitarist, Bass player, Karaoke Host, Event Co-ordinator, Compere, Dj, and Business Management.
Saralyn Matla started singing when she was only 3 years old and through the years of humbly winning
all of her school singing competitions she has been unstoppable and thus made her father very
proud.
Saralyn Started in the music industry helping her farther running Karaoke nights since the age of 12
years and was able to learn a lot about music and performance from other peers and her father and
other talented people who came to the Karaoke shows or competitions that were run at that time.
Saralyn moved to Darwin in 2008 and every month Emil Matla her father would get a phone call
saying I have won a Karaoke Competition again winning prize money.
Saralyn after winning many Karaoke Competitions became an Australian Idols finalist and a X-Factor
finalist in 2009 also.
Saralyn and Emil Matla decided to form a new Duo called Sass and The Boss and decided in 2014 to
gather their talents and form a good time for all ages Duo which will be very suitable for Clubs, Restaurants,
Hotels, Functions.
With well screened and professional performance tracks and a bit of Finesse and personality they
give the night that happy atmosphere people so love on a night out.
