Members and Guests,
Welcome to Summer at Wangi Workers Club .
Your Club continues to trade strongly due in no small part, to the efforts of our Management team and their great staff.
On the staffing front, we were sorry to lose the services of the popular Sam Francis but were delighted for him that his time and experience spent here assisted him in obtaining the 2IC role at Soldiers Point Bowling Club. If you are ever up that way, drop in and say hello to Sam! We are now delighted to welcome Linda Lang to our ranks, please take the opportunity to make yourself known to Linda.
A refurbishment program costing $80,000 is commencing shortly on the jetty complex. This project is being funded jointly by the Club and a grant successfully received from NSW Maritime. You will be able to view the refurbishment from our new lounges provided for your comfort.
The Wangi Shores development has only 5 units left available for sale from stage one. We envisage that we will be commencing a redesigned Stage two which includes the attractive Clubhouse sometime in the second quarter of this year 2010.
If you have any questions about this or any other aspect of the Club see our CEO Phill who will be happy to assist you with your enquiry.
On the Club front we have welcomed the addition of a new in house Club, the Camera Club and they along with our Snooker and Fishing Clubs welcome new members so if you have an interest in any of these activities please contact the office and they will be happy to provide you with contact information.
Our Bistro under the management of Kin and Jenny continue to supply excellent quality meals at an affordable price and this has been clearly evidenced by the very busy trade every meal time.
The Summerhill Park Complex remains fully occupied with a waiting list and has matured into an attractive area.
Juke Box Saturday Night was greatly supported and the Jim Beam Girls were a very popular added attraction. Watch out for the possibility of another show later in the year!
Our monthly Cabaret held on the second Wednesday of the month from 10:30am is still proving to be very popular. You are provided with a 2 course meal and show for the price of $15. This is great value!!!!! Tickets can be purchased from the office.
